Happy 2016! I hope you all have had a better start to the year than I have. I don't think I have ever felt so behind and just out of my element like this before. MyLee got really, really sick the first week of the new year with hemorrhagic colitis. That was one of the scariest things I've ever had to deal with and was also an unexpected cost we had to pay. Being the crazy dog mom that I am, I had the vets test everything to cross it all off my "scared-shitless my baby has this" list. I am happy to announce that she is completely better now and is back to her perky self. This morning, both her and Penelope were testing my patience. During the night, MyLee knocked her water over and apparently it drowned my phone. I was so pissed when I woke up. Came home from AT&T and Chipotle (I felt I deserved it after the morning I had) and found that Penelope found her latest chew toy - our Ottoman!!! It took everything in my not to scream and kick and just completely lose my shit. Haha!
Alright, enough of amazing dogs who love to keep me on my toes. :) Let's see what I use to make myself look presentable every day!
I'm going to start in the order I apply my makeup.
1. Cover FX Illuminating Primer - I lean toward illuminating primers because my skin is SO dang dry. I wouldn't say this primer helps out with the dryness of my face, but I really do like it. What I like most is that it absolutely does not break me out. What I really like to do is mix this in with my foundations to make them more illuminating.
2. Born This Way Foundation in Snow -This foundation is one of the few I've ever tried that is actually light enough for my skin. I really like more dewy foundations because my skin is literally a desert, and this one is not as hydrating, but I deal with it because right now I can't find any that are light enough for my ghost-colored skin.
3. Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Concealer in Fair Neutral - I LOVE this concealer. It is my holy grail. When I run out of this, it is a sad, sad day. It is so creamy, light and high coverage. I absolutely love the want in it, as well. I highly, highly recommend it!
4. Too Faced Stardust by Vegas Nay(limited edition) - Depending on if I want a brown eyeshadow look or a burnt orange eyeshadow look, I choose between this or the one I going to talk about next. For the burnt oranges and brownish-reds, this it the palette I choose. I travel with this one because I can do a neutral look or do a full on glam look with this palette. It is gorgeous and I am so happy I got my hands on it.
5. Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette - This is probably the best basic eyeshadow palette you can get. It has every cool neutral color you could need for a simple look and you literally can't go wrong with it.
6. NYX Matte Liquid Liner - This stuff is so cheap and so good. I love matte liquid liners, and NYX always kills it with liquid liners. If you are looking for an affordable liquid liner, try this one out!
7. Urban Decay Perversion Mascara - My mother-in-law bought this for me for Christmas and I wasn't sure if I was going to like it, but I actually really do!
8. Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Caramel - Holy grail brow product. I could not go a single day without this product. It is so easy to apply, and just such a great product for your eyebrows!
9. Kat Von D Shade + Light Contour Palette - Best contour palette on the market. The setting powders are amazing. I have hit pan on the first and second shade and I also love every single contour shade. The first one is my favorite for my pale skin. It is brownish-gray and so easy to blend. Highly recommend!
10. Too Faced Blushes (I got these in a 3 pack in a Christmas Gift Set) - I really love corally or lighter pink shades and these are adorable as well as have really good color pay off!
11. Buxom Full-On Lip Cream in White Russian - I don't usually wear lipstick or a lot of color on my lips, but this is my favorite lip product EVER. It's a nude pink, and has the best tingly feeling. I love it so, so much!
